Disclosed herein is a pedicle screw system, which includes at least one pedicles, a rod, a body and a fixation element. The pedicle screw includes a head portion and a shaft portion extending downwardly therefrom. At least a portion of the surface of the rod is roughened. The body has an aperture, a rod passageway and internal threads. The aperture is disposed at the bottom of the body and is configured to receive the thread portion of the pedicle so as to rotatably retain the head portion of the pedicle in the body. The rod passageway passes through by the rod. The internal thread is disposed on the inner surface of the upper portion of the body.
