PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall surface greening apparatus with illumination made by adding a streetlight function and information origination function to a wall surface greening system to replace hedges and street trees of walkways, sound-proof walls of driveways, or separation walls of vacant lots.SOLUTION: A wall surface greening apparatus with illumination comprises: a plurality of wall surface greening units 2 which are linked with each other to form an arrangement body 2A serving as a self-supporting separation wall and an illumination unit 3 and a message display unit 4 provided on the wall surface greening unit 2. The wall surface greening unit 2 has: a wall surface frame which is formed like a thin box, the inside of which is filled with plant growth substrates, and in which plants 6 are planted in a front face and a watering device. The illumination unit 3 illuminates areas neighboring the location where the wall surface greening unit 2 is installed. The message display unit 4 displays advertisements, and information, guidance, etc. in the event of a disaster.
