To provide a manufacturing method that can manufacture a soft capsule of a simple composition having an excellent mechanical strength, preservability and transparency and moldability without using raw materials regarded as an additive.
SOLUTION: Modified starch is prepared by subjecting waxy corn starch to acid treatment or wet HEAT treatment in the presence of a salt. A capsule film solution is prepared by dissolving 100 pts.wt of the modified starch and 20-28 pts.wt of iota carrageenan in water under heating. A capsule film made from the capsule film solution is treated in a rotary-die molding apparatus to mold the soft capsule filled with contents.
