An oral composition for reducing the amount of volatile sulfur-containing compounds in the oral cavity, containing an effective amount of zinc salt and isothiocyanate, acting against volatile sulfur-containing compounds. The composition of claim 1, wherein the zinc salt is an organic zinc salt. The composition of claim 1, wherein the isothiocyanate is selected from the group consisting of sulforaphane (SFN), allyl isothiocyanate (AITC), phenethyl isothiocyanate (PEITC), benzyl isothiocyanate (BITC), and combinations thereof. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the isothiocyanate is selected from the group consisting of 3-morpholinopropylisothiocyanate, phenylisothiocyanate and norbornyl isothiocyanate. The composition of claim 1, wherein the zinc salt is selected from the group consisting of zinc ascorbate, zinc acid acetate, zinc lactate, and combinations thereof. The composition of claim 1, wherein the weight ratio of zinc salt to isothiocyanate is from about 1:10 to about 100: 1.7. The composition according to claim 1, which is in the form of mint candies, soft candies, hard candies, candies, syrups, pressed mint candies, tablets, throat lozenges and chocolates. 8.
