An oral care composition comprising: a first component comprising at least one compound that increases E and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and a second component containing at least one zinc compound, cetyl pyridinium chloride (CPC), and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. 2. An oral composition according to claim 1, wherein the first and second components are stored separately. The oral composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the at least one E-enhancing compound is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen peroxide, fermentable sugar, an oxyhalogen compound, a biocompatible redox buffer, and combinations thereof .4. An oral care composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein at least one compound increasing E is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen peroxide and amenable to fermentation of sugar, and where the first component further comprises a chlorine-containing compound. An oral care composition according to claim 4, wherein the chlorine-containing compound is selected from the group consisting of chloride salts of alkali metals, chloride salts of alkaline earth metals and combinations thereof. The oral composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the at least one zinc compound is selected from the group consisting of zinc chloride, zinc acetate, zinc salicylate, zinc sulfate, zinc nitrate, and combinations thereof. The oral composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the at least one E-enhancing compound is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen peroxide, sodium chlorite and amenable to fermentation sugar； and the zinc compound is selected from the group consisting of1.
