A sanitary napkin (1) in which an absorbing body (4) is interposed between a liquid permeable surface sheet (3) and a back sheet (2), wherein the liquid permeable surface sheet (3) has a plurality of convex portions (10) that bulge to skin side formed at intervals and has embossed portions (11) compressed from the skin side and openings (12) penetrating the liquid permeable surface sheet (3) each formed independently around the convex portions (10). The rim of an opening (12) is provided with a skin-side extended portion (13) that protrudes toward the skin side with a height less than the height of the convex portions (10). The liquid permeable surface sheet (3) has, in the plan view, the convex portions (10) disposed in a staggered manner, the openings (12) disposed in an area surrounded on four sides by convex portions (10), and the embossed portions (11) disposed continuously or non-continuously between adjacent openings (12) in the direction connecting the openings (12).
