PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of promoting growth of turfgrass after transplantation and growing the turfgrass evenly and securely.MEANS: A method of promoting growth of roots of turfgrass for transplantation is provided, the method promoting growth of roots of turfgrass that is laid in a transplantation place, upon laying a vegetation soil mat including turfgrass over the ground surface at the transplantation place, a nonwoven fabric made up by cellulose based short fibers three-dimensionally entangled to each other is laid over the ground surface, after that the vegetation soil mat including turfgrass is laid on the ground surface covered with the nonwoven fabric.
