PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow imaging of the whole body of a subject without upsizing, by an X-ray computed tomography apparatus for X-ray computed tomography of the subject in the standing position.SOLUTION: The X-ray computed tomography apparatus includes a gantry 10 for imaging a subject by X-ray CT and a console 50 communicably connected to the gantry 10. The gantry 10 includes a gantry body 11 and a column unit 13. The gantry body 11 has a bore into which the subject is inserted when the subject is imaged by X-ray CT.
