PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental hand-piece hardly causing malfunctions and capable of improving the dust preventive function of a head portion.SOLUTION: The dental hand-piece includes: a hard-coated shaft part 8 of a gear shaft 5 a first lip 38 projecting inward in the radial direction on the inner periphery of a dust-preventive seal 9 with a ring-shaped structure and a second lip 39 projecting inward in the radial direction at a position with a prescribed distance to the upper side from the first lip 38. When the dust-preventive seal is closely held to the peripheral surface of the shaft part of the gear shaft, a space 40 is formed between abutting parts of the first and second lips to the peripheral surface of the shaft part of the gear shaft. With this structure, penetration of dust into the gear area from the contact area between the shaft part of the gear shaft and the dust-preventive seal can be prevented, and wearing of the shaft part with dust, etc. on the contact area between the shaft part of the gear shaft and the dust-preventive seal can be also prevented.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】ヘッド部分の防塵機能を向上させるとともに、故障の少ない歯科用ハンドピースを提供する。【解決手段】歯科用ハンドピースにおいて、歯車軸5の軸部8はハードコーティング処理が施され、リング状構造の防塵シール9の内周には半径方向内側へ突出した第1のリップ38と、当該第1のリップよりも上側に所定の間隔を開けた位置で半径方向内側へ突出した第2のリップ39を設け、防塵シールを歯車軸の軸部周面に密着保持したとき、前記第1及び第2のリップの歯車軸の軸部周面への当接部の間に空間40が形成されるようにした。よって、歯車軸の軸部と防塵シールの接触部分から歯車部分の方への塵埃の侵入が防止され、また、歯車軸の軸部と防塵シールの接触部分において塵埃等により前記軸部分が磨耗することも防止される。【選択図】図4
