PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide therapeutic compositions effectively usable in prevention or treatment of diabetes and related diseases.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a composition comprising an oxyntomodulin analog as an effective ingredient for preventing or treating diabetes, diabesity or diabetic complications. The invention also relates to a method for preventing or treating diabetes and diabesity comprising a step of administering a pharmaceutically effective amount of an oxyntomodulin analog of the invention to a subject. The oxyntomodulin analog of the invention exhibits high activity to a GLP-1 receptor and glucagon receptor compared to the native oxyntomodulin. The oxyntomodulin analog of the invention induces the expansion of β cell, and increases insulin secretion, thereby reducing elevated blood glucose levels due to high-calorie and high-fat diet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4【課題】糖尿病及びこれに関連する疾患の予防又は治療において有効に使用することができる治療用組成物を提供する。【解決手段】オキシントモジュリン誘導体を有效成分として含む糖尿病、肥満性糖尿病若しくは糖尿合併症の予防又は治療用組成物に関する。また、本発明は、本発明のオキシントモジュリン誘導体を薬学的有效量で個体に投与する段階を含む、糖尿病、肥満性糖尿病の予防又は治療方法に関する。本発明のオキシントモジュリン誘導体は天然型オキシントモジュリンに比べてGLP-1受容体及びグルカゴン受容体に対して高い活性を有する。本発明のオキシントモジュリン誘導体はβ細胞の拡張を誘導し、インシュリン分泌量を増加させて高脂肪及び高脂肪の食餌によって増加した血糖を減少させる。【選択図】図４
