PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a Momordica grosvenorii extract, a method for removing a residual pesticide from the Momordica grosvenorii extract, and a Momordica grosvenorii extract containing no residual pesticide.SOLUTION: There is provided a method which includes: bringing a Momordica grosvenorii extract into contact with charcoal. In the method, the Momordica grosvenorii extract is previously brought into contact with at least one of an ion exchange resin and a macro-porous polymer adsorption resin. There is provided a method which includes: bringing 2-15 wt.% of a Momordica grosvenorii extract in an aqueous solution form containing a residual pesticide into contact with active carbon having a surface area of more than 100 m2/g and then concentrating a distillate which has been brought into contact with the charcoal.
