The present invention relates to a method for protecting nerve cells from nerve cell death induced by kainic acid by pretreating nerve cells with anthocyanin, and to a composition comprising anthocyanin, as an active ingredient, for protecting nerve cells from death induced by kainic acid. Since anthocyanin of the present invention has the effect of protecting nerve cells from nerve cell death induced by kainic acid, anthocyanin can be used to study and develop a drug related to preventing neurodegenerative diseases associated with nerve cell death.La présente invention concerne un procédé de protection des neurones de la mort induite par l'acide kaïnique par prétraitement des neurones avec de l'anthocyanine, ainsi qu'une composition comprenant de l'anthocyanine comme principe actif visant à protéger les neurones de la mort induite par l'acide kaïnique.
