Biocide composition for killing microorganisms in aqueous or water containing system which comprises 2,2-dibrommalonamid and biocide containing electrophile selected from the group consisting of 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol, bromnitrostirol, methylenebis (thiocyanate) and 1,2-dibromo-2,4-ditsianobutan.2. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the 2,2-dibrommalonamida weight to weight ratio of the biocide containing electrophile is from about 100: 1 to about 1: 100.3. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the biocide containing electrophile is 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol and the weight ratio of 2,2-dibrommalonamida by weight of 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol It is from about 32: 1 to about 1: 2.4. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the biocide containing electrophile is bromnitrostirol and the weight ratio of 2,2-dibrommalonamida to bromnitrostirola weight is from about 32: 1 to about 1: 2.5.
