This invention discloses an eject mechanism on biosensor monitors for biosensor test strips, including an elastic spring with one end connecting to a slider which moves parallelly to the insertion of test strip into the biosensor monitor, and another end which is fitted with a locker to fix the elastic spring in place as the slider is pushed into the meter by test strip. On pressing the release button, the locker is disengaged with the stop on the cover of the biosensor monitor and the energy stored in the elastic spring is then released to eject the slider and, hence, the test strip out of the biosensor monitor.
