PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard gumi candy more chewable and crunchier (firmness) than any conventional gumi candy, having also a springy texture, and further inexpensive.SOLUTION: The hard gumi candy contains: a candy base consisting of three kinds of components blending, as a solid content, 20-50% sugar, 1-20% thick malt syrup of 20-35 dextrose equivalent (DE) value, and 30-60% thick malt syrup of 70 or more DE value a metallic salt a gelatin 220 or more in bloom value and 13-17% water.
