The present invention relates to a syringe which enables blood collection and drug suction or injection to be performed by one hand of a user. The syringe of the present invention comprises: a cylinder having a needle at the front end thereof, and a tap perpendicularly extending from the rear end thereof a plunger having a piston fixed at the front end thereof, and a piston head fixed at the rear end thereof, wherein the piston is inserted into the cylinder so as to tightly contact an inner surface of the cylinder and reciprocate in the tightly contacted state, wherein the cylinder has a groove formed at the outer surface thereof in the lengthwise direction of the cylinder and an operating rod which extends in the lengthwise direction of the cylinder from the piston head and which is inserted into the groove such that the upper surface of the operating rod can be outwardly exposed, wherein the operating rod has a finger-holding portion formed at the exposed upper surface of the operating rod such that the finger of the user does not slip.
