To evaluate the surface properties of the skin inclusive of the scalp by a simple measuring instrument.
SOLUTION: The measuring instrument 1A of cutaneous properties includes a pressing element 10 for directly pressing the surface S of the skin and an illumination means 30 for illuminating the pressed region P1 of the surface S of the skin so as to form the shadow of the cavity of the surface S of the skin by pressing and an imaging means 20 for photographing the pressed region P1. The illumination means 30 is preferably provided at the position near to the cavity outside the cavity forming region of the surface S of the skin.
