The invention relates to a method for triggering a medical alarm at a monitoring center and to a medical monitoring system. The aim of the invention is to provide a method for triggering a medical alarm at a monitoring center and a medical monitoring system that reduce, as far as possible, the number of false alarms and the volume data exchanged between the patient and a monitoring center. The object of the invention is met by a method for triggering a medical alarm at a monitoring center which comprises the following steps: • reading, via a sensor, the value of at least one variable characteristic of a patient's condition； • transmitting said value from the sensor to a central processing unit； • comparing, via the CPU, the transmitted value with at least one reference scenario including the variable(s) in question； • if at least one transmitted value differs from the corresponding value in at least one reference scenario, sending a message to a communication interface for communicating with the patient； • waiting for a response input via the communication interface； • sending an alarm message to the monitoring center according to the received response or if there is no response.La présente invention concerne un procédé de déclenchement d'une alarme médicale auprès d'un centre de surveillance et un système médical de surveillance.
