PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical light irradiation device which appropriately treats tumor tissues while suppressing side-effects and is especially effective for treatment of a deep solid tumor.SOLUTION: The medical light irradiation device 1 includes a catheter shaft 10 having a distal end inserted inside the human body and a light source device 20 for emitting light discontinuously, transmits light emitted from the light source device 20 from the proximal end side to the distal end side of the catheter shaft 20, and irradiates the human body with light.
