The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing, ameliorating or treating side effects caused by cisplatin comprising a complex herbal extract comprised of Pinelliae Tuber, Ginseng Radix, Glycyrrhizae Radix Preparata, Scutellariae Radix, Zingiberis Processum Rhizoma, Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, Ziziphi Jujubae Fructus and Coptidis Rhizoma as an active ingredient. The present invention relates to the composition for preventing, ameliorating or treating side effects caused by cisplatin is included in an amount of 1,000 to 2,000 mg/kg based on mouse oral administration. According to the present invention, the composition for preventing, ameliorating or treating side effects caused by cisplatin does not have an effect on anticancer treatment efficacy of cisplatin and has efficacy of inhibiting weight loss, reduction in food intake, loss of mucous membrane cells in the small intestine, leukopenia, creatinine in serum, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), damages to kidney tissues, and TNF-α expression in the kidney tissues caused by cisplatin.본 발명은 반하(Pinelliae Tuber), 인삼(Ginseng Radix), 감초(Glycyrrhizae Radix Preparata), 황금(Scutellariae Radix), 건강(Zingiberis Processum Rhizoma), 생강(Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), 대조(Ziziphi Jujubae Fructus) 및 황련(Coptidis Rhizoma)으로 구성된 복합 생약 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는, 시스플라틴(cisplatin)에 의한 부작용 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 조성물은, 마우스 경구투여 기준으로 1000~ 2000mg/kg을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스플라틴(cisplatin)에 의한 부작용 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 조성물은, 시스플라틴의 항암치료 효능에 대해 영향을 주지 않으며, 시스플라틴에 의한 체중감소, 먹이섭취 감소, 소장 내 점막세포 손실 , 백혈구 감소, 혈청 내 creatinine , BUN(blood urea nitrogen), 신장조직 손상, 신장조직 내 TNF-α 발현을 억제하는 효능을 보유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스플라틴(cisplatin)에 의한 부작용 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다.
