PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type absorbent article in which a lower part of a divided exterior body is less likely to be separated from an absorbent body while positions of lower ends of a plurality of non-woven fabric sheets constituting the divided exterior body shift are dislocated.SOLUTION: An underpants type absorbent article 1 includes an abdominal side exterior body 2A, a back side exterior body 2B, and an absorbent body 3, and a pair of side seal parts 4 are formed. The abdominal side or back side exterior body 2A, 2B includes two or more non-woven fabric sheets including an outer layer sheet 22 forming an outer surface of the article 1 and an inner layer sheet 23 joined to an outer surface of the absorbent body 3. The non-woven fabric sheet 22 other than the inner layer sheet 23 extends downward with respect to a lower end 23d of the inner layer sheet in a site that overlaps with the absorbent body.
