The apparatuscomprises means for providing bubbles in a liquid on or nearthe surface of the animal or parasite and means for exposing the bubbles tosound waves, wherein the sound waves induce resonanceand asymmetric collapse of the bubbles. A method of reducing parasiteinfestation on an aquatic animal, a method for improving thecondition, appearance, meat quality or growth rate of an aquatic animal, and amethod for delivery of molecules to an aquatic animalare also provided.
