Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine essbare Formulierung, bevorzugt eine Fruchtpastenformulierung, die mindestens einen mit einer niedermolekularen hydrophoben Substanz beschichteten partikulären pflanzlichen Stoff, der Wirkstoffe zur Verdauungsförderung enthält, beinhaltet. Durch die hydrophobe Beschichtung wird der pflanzliche Stoffe im Magen vor dem zersetzenden Einfluss der Magensäure geschützt, währen die hydrophobe Beschichtung im Darm aufgelöst wird, so dass der pflanzliche Stoff dort seine verdauungsfördernde Wirkung entfalten kann.
