The patient positioning device is provided to position, protect and secure the patient on one support surface to another support surface or for surgical preparation. The positioning device includes a sheet with first and second flexible substrates bonded to the top surface of the sheet. The first and second flexible substrates may be padded. Such substrates may surround the patient's adjacent arm to create an enclosed bond. This enclosed bond can pad, protect, fix and elevate the arm from injury caused by the pressure imposed upon it during surgery or movement. This positioning device can be lifted or slid from one support surface to another. Optionally, third and fourth flexible substrates can be used for further fixation that can surround the patient's adjacent arms to create a second enclosed bond.
