PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an isotropic pressure device comprising a configuration capable of making up such a state that the foreign matters occurring from an object to be treated hardly contacts directly to instruments composing the device such as a pressure vessel, and to provide a pressure treatment method using the same.SOLUTION: An isotropic pressure device 100 is equipped with a cylindrical pressure vessel 1 having the opening parts 1a, 1b provided at both ends in an axial direction and disposed horizontally, and performs the pressure treatment of an object to be treated (for example, unshelled food) charged in the pressure vessel 1 by pushing, for example, fresh water as a first pressure medium from outside into the pressure vessel 1 in which the opening parts 1a, 1b are closed by caps 10, 11. The isotropic pressure device 100 is also equipped with a bucket 6 having the holes 13a on the upper part thereof, housing the object to be treated, and set inside the pressure vessel 1. At least salt water, for example, as a second pressure medium is poured into the bucket 6.
