PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that in a state in which a wearer's evacuation is followed by feces being spread by seating pressure or the like, prevents the feces from leaking over three-dimensional gathers at an aperture around one's foot, the aperture being in the vicinity of an area where the feces spread.SOLUTION: There is provided an absorbent article comprising a pair of three-dimensional gathers 41 and 41 disposed in the longer direction on both sides in the width direction of an absorbent main body 4, the three-dimensional gathers being capable of being erected. The pair of three-dimensional gathers 41 and 41 include: an elastic part including a three-dimensional gather elastic body 71 on the erection end side； and an erection part other than the elastic part. At least on the erection end side of the erection part is provided an uneven area 44 on which recesses and salients including a space inside are repeatedly arranged in the three-dimensional gathers' width direction. A plurality of easily contracting parts are regularly arranged in the longer direction and in an area where the uneven area 44 of the three-dimensional gathers 41 is disposed.
