PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection member which can concurrently detect the rate of moving of a detection target member and an applied impact, using a photoelastic polyurethane resin as a pressure-sensitive sensor or an angle sensor.SOLUTION: The detection member includes: a core material containing a photoelastic polyurethane resin； a light emission member for emitting light to the core material, the light emission member being in a first position； a light reception member for receiving light emitted from the light emission member to pass through the core material, the light emission member being in a second position different from the first position； and a piezoelectric base material wound around the core material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
