PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod case that has a light weight, but excellent shape retention with a low cost.SOLUTION: The main body of the case 21 is equipped with the base part 24 and the cover part 25. The base part 24 is equipped with the back material 26 and a couple of side face materials 27, 28. Individual side face materials 27 and 28 each is sewed to both sides of the back face materials and the boundary area between them is flexed. The back face material 26 and individual inner wall face parts 27, 28 have the side face shock absorbing materials each 36 and 39 having the same shapes as that of the inner wall faces of the faces of the back face material and individual sidewall face materials 27, 28. These back face shock absorbing material 31, side face shock absorbing materials 36, 39 are each fixed to the back face material 26 and each side face materials. The back face material 26 has a core material shaped in the same face as the inner wall of the back face material 26.
