PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the maldistribution of highly absorbable polymer particle without deteriorating advantage using filament collected body.SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by an absorbent article which has a front side sheet 82 which has a holding layer 80 holding the highly absorbable polymer particle 54 going out from an absorbent body 56 in the rear side of the absorbent body 56 and in which a rear side sheet 81 and a plurality of flares extending in a longitudinal direction are arranged parallel in a width direction in the holding layer 80, an elongate elastic member 83 for expanding fixed to the absorbent body 56 side part the pleats of the front side sheet 82 along the longitudinal direction in an extended condition and which is characterized in that bonding parts 84 are formed by bonding the rear side sheet 81 and the rear side sheet 81 side bottom part in each of the pleats of the rear side sheet 82, tubular cells 85 extending along a longitudinal direction are formed without bonding the rear side sheet 81 and the front side sheet 82 between the bonding parts 84, the cell 85 are constituted so as to expand so as to be able to deform and restore by the constriction of the elastic member 83 for expanding.
