PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new crystal polymorph of rimonabant.SOLUTION: The method for producing a crystal polymorph of rimonabant (form II) characterized by an infrared spectrum absorption band, lines of powder X ray diffraction pattern and a melting peak comprises (a) a step to heat rimonabant up to the refluxing temperature of a solvent composed of methylcyclohexane containing 1-10% water and dissolve at concentration of 150-220 g/L, (b) a step to cool the medium to a temperature between 40°C and 50°C, thereafter heat the medium at a temperature between 60°C and 75°C and maintain at the temperature for 2 hours, (c) a step to lower the temperature to a temperature between 5°C and 20°C at a cooling rate of -15°C to -20°C per hour and (d) a step to collect the formed crystals by filtering at a temperature between 5°C and 20°C.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】リモナバントの新規な結晶多形の製造方法の提供。【解決手段】a)リモナバントを、1~10%の水を含むメチルシクロヘキサンからなる溶媒の還流温度まで加熱して、150~220g/lの濃度に溶解し、b)媒体を40℃と50℃の間の温度に冷却し、次いで媒体を60℃と75℃の間の温度まで加熱して2時間維持し、c)5℃と20℃の間の温度に至るまで、時間当たり-15℃~-20℃の冷却度合いで、温度を下げ、d)生成した結晶を、5℃と20℃の間の温度でろ取することを特徴とする、赤外線スペクトル吸収バンド、X線粉末回折図の線および溶融ピークで特徴付けられるリモナバント(フォームII)の結晶多形の製造方法。【選択図】なし
