1. A method of obtaining a mixture of herbicides, comprising the following steps: combining an auxin-based herbicide containing a first cation and an adjuvant that contains a salt containing a second cation, the salt being selected from the group consisting of: (a) an ammonium salt of Formula I where R, R , R and R independently represent a non-cyclic hydrocarbon residue C-X X represents an agronomically acceptable anion; (b) a salt containing a nitrogen-containing heterocycle of Formula II wherein A is a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring; R 1 is C — C alkyl; R is hydrogen or C — C alkyl, and X is an agronomically acceptable anion; (c) phosphonium salts of Formula III wherein R, R, R and R are independently a non-cyclic hydrocarbon residue C — X — X is an agronomically acceptable anion; and mixtures thereof, and the mixture of herbicides has a total concentration of herbicide of not more than about 40% by weight of acid equivalent (EC). The method according to claim 1, characterized in that R, R, R and R independently represent C-Cili alkyl benzyl. 3. The method according to claim 2, characterized in that R, R, R and R independently represent C-C alkyl. The method according to claim 1, wherein the salt of Formula I is selected from the group consisting of tetraethylammonium chloride, tributyl methyl ammonium chloride, tetrabutyl ammonium chloride, tetrabutyl ammonium bromide and dodecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride.
