PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of absorption inhibition of high absorbent polymer particles, and prevent collapse of an absorbent shape due to movement of high absorbent polymer particles which gelated.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises: a front side sheet 51； a back side sheet arranged on a back side of the front side sheet； and an absorber 50 whose periphery is surrounded by joint parts 54 of the front side sheet 51 and the back side sheet, and which comprises cells 55 to which the front side sheet 51 and the back side sheet are not jointed, and particulate matter including high absorbent polymer particles included in the cells 55. The joint part 54 contains a weak joint part 54b which can peel by expansion force of the high absorbent polymer particles in the adjacent cell 55 and a strong joint part 54a which does not peel by expansion force of the high absorbent polymer particles of the adjacent cell 55.
