PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric dust collector and indoor equipment of an air conditioner having this electric dust collector, for forming an optimal constitution to be mounted on the air conditioner, by enabling thickness and weight reduction, by efficiently collecting dust to enhance dust collection efficiency, while providing stable electric charge to the dust.SOLUTION: An electric dust collector is provided with an ionization electrode of high voltage potential on the upstream side of a ventilation flue and a counter electrode of earth potential on the downstream side, and imparts electric charge to dust to collect the dust by electrostatic force. The counter electrode forms a cross-sectional substantially inverse L shape out of a first side part parallel to a flow direction of an air guided to the ventilation flue and having an upstream-side end part and a downstream-side end part and a second side part bent in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the air flow in an air flow downstream side end part of the first side part and the ionization electrode is opposed at a predetermined interval to the air flow upstream side end part of the first side part and the second side part tip of the counter electrode.
