PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the pain or incompatibility of a subject when mounting measurement probes to the subject in a near-infrared brain function imaging device etc. which measures an active state of a human brain.
SOLUTION: The near-infrared brain function imaging device 100, which measures the biological active state of the subject by irradiating the subjects head with near-infrared rays and detecting return light thereof, is provided with probes 104 and 106 in which ends in contact with the subjects head are formed of elastic bodies transmitting the near-infrared rays. The shapes of the probe can deform corresponding to the subjects head.
