A PAP device (2) for supplying pressurised treatment air to a patient comprising a noise reducing air inlet design. The PAP device comprises a casing (5) and a blower (10). The blower (10) is provided at least partially within the casing (5). The casing (5) includes at least a first chamber (6(2)), a second chamber (6(3))and a plurality of conduits (105). The conduits (105) are provided to allow air to pass from the first chamber (6(2)) into the second chamber (6(3)). The conduits (105) are arranged to provide acoustic impedance to reduce the level of noise, emitted by the blower (10), which can be heard outside of the casing (5). The conduits (105) are also arranged to provide a defined pressure drop which may be used to calculate the air flow through the blower.
