The invention relates to a method for operating a device (1) for shaping plastic preforms to form plastic containers, wherein the device (1) has a movable support (2) on which a plurality of shaping stations (20) for shaping plastic preforms to form plastic containers are arranged, and these shaping stations each have blow moulds (10) that are suitable for and intended for moulding the plastic preforms and are arranged at least indirectly on blow mould supports (22). According to the invention, the blow moulds (10) are kept at least temporarily in a magazine device (38), wherein this magazine device (38) is suitable for and intended for receiving several sets of blow moulds (10).
