A surgical simulator for surgical training is provided. The simulator includes a frame defining the enclosure and a simulated tissue model located inside the frame. The simulated tissue model is adapted to practice a number of surgical procedures including, but not limited to, anal gastrectomy and transvaginal hysterectomy. The parts of the frame include a material that is adhesively compatible with the material of the parts of the simulated tissue model in order to securely fasten the simulated tissue model to the frame and hang therein.
