PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asbestos-free high purity natural scale-like mineral obtained by separating mineral components other than a scale-like mineral mixed as impurities and asbestos from a natural scale-like mineral ore and to provide a manufacturing method capable of easily manufacturing the asbestos-free high purity natural scale-like mineral.SOLUTION: The asbestos-containing natural scale-like mineral ore is coarsely pulverized to prepare a scale-like material composed of only scale-like mineral, a bulk material consisting of the mineral other than the scale-like mineral and containing the asbestos and/or a bulk material consisting of the scale-like mineral and a first mixture containing the powdery asbestos. Then a second mixture regulated in a particle range which can classify by a sieve is prepared, and the second mixture is separated to the scale-like material composed of only scale-like mineral, the bulk material consisting of the mineral other than the scale-like mineral and containing the asbestos and/or the bulk material consisting of the scale-like mineral and the powdery asbestos by using a specific gravity difference separator.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】天然鱗片状鉱物原石から不純物として混入している鱗片状鉱物以外の鉱物成分およびアスベストを分離して得られるアスベストフリーで高純度の天然鱗片状鉱物の提供およびアスベストフリー高純度天然鱗片状鉱物を容易に製造する製法の提供。【解決手段】アスベストを含む天然鱗片状鉱物原石を、粗粉砕して、鱗片状鉱物のみから成る鱗片状物と、アスベストを含む鱗片状鉱物以外の鉱物から成る塊状物および/または鱗片状鉱物から成る塊状物と、粉末状を呈するアスベストとを含む第1混合物を調製した後、篩により分級可能な粒度範囲に調整された第2混合物を調製し、前記第2混合物を比重差分離装置を用いて鱗片状鉱物のみから成る鱗片状物と、アスベストを含む鱗片状鉱物以外の鉱物から成る塊状物および/または鱗片状鉱物から成る塊状物と、粉末状を呈するアスベストとに、分離して製造されるアスベストフリー高純度天然鱗片状鉱物により課題を解決できる。【選択図】図1
