PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus having analysis algorithm capable of observing the state of not only cirrhosis but small abnormal lesion in a homogeneous tissue structure by using a statistical property of a speckle pattern to smooth an image and extracting a micro-structure. SOLUTION: In this ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, an ultrasonic pulse is applied to a patient to obtain a tomographic image. The apparatus is provided with analysis operating means 23, 24, 26 for extracting a specified signal by using the intensity of an echo signal generated from a region P of the patient or statistical property of amplitude information, and a display means 14 for displaying the result extracted from the analysis operating means.
