PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire capable of shaping a distal end into an appropriate shape and improving torque transmission properties.SOLUTION: A guide wire 10 includes: a shaft 12 a coil member 14 enclosing the shaft 12 and fixed to a distal end of the shaft 12 and a reinforcing mechanism 34 disposed inside the coil member 14.
