The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory ocular diseases comprising YCG063 as an active ingredient. More particularly, expression of inflammation mediators, such as IL-6, IL-8, MCP-1 and ICAM-1, causing inflammatory ocular diseases, such as endophthalmitis, is increased in retinal pigment epithelium cells exposed to lipopolysaccharides (LPS) of Gram-negative bacteria. However, it is found that after the retinal pigment epithelium cells exposed to LPS is treated with a composition comprising YCG063 as an active ingredient, expression of inflammation mediators whose secretion is induced by LPS is inhibited. Thus, the composition comprising UCG063 as an active ingredient according to the present invention can be used for a pharmaceutical composition for treating ocular diseases caused by bacterial infection.본 발명은 YCG063을 유효성분으로 함유하는 염증성 안구질환 예방 또는 치료용 약학조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 그람-음성균의 리포폴리사카라이드(LPS)에 노출된 망막색소상피세포에서는 안구내염과 같은 염증성 안구질환의 원인이되는 염증성 매개체인 IL-6, IL-8, MCP-1 및 ICAM-1 발현이 증가되지만, YCG063을 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물을 LPS가 노출된 망막색소상피세포에 처리한 결과, LPS에 의해 분비가 유도되는 염증성 매개체의 발현이 억제되는 것을 확인됨에 따라, 본 발명의 YCG063을 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물은 세균 감염에 따른 염증성 안구질환 치료용 약학조성물로 제공될 수 있다.
