PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which has a good feeling of a leak-proof cuff, excels in side leakage preventing capability, and can prevent the leakage certainly even when a lot of urine is excreted in a short period of time or watery feces, loose feces or the like is excreted.
SOLUTION: The disposable diaper 1 of this invention is provided with a pair of leak-proof cuffs 6 on both sides of a absorbent core 4 in a hip lower part. The leak-proof cuffs 6 has a fixed end 67 in the inward of the width direction of the diaper from both side marginal parts of the absorbent core 4. A flexion auxiliary part 44 for enhancing flexibility is formed in the absorbent core 4. The absorbent core 4 can suck liquid from a non-skin facing surface 45 side of an outside site from the position of the fixed end 67 in the width direction of the diaper.
