The invention is directed to an antimicrobial composition obtainable by reacting in a first step at least one polyisocyanate A with at least one binder component B with at least two isocyanatereactive groups and at least one isocyanatereactive alkoxysilane C thus obtaining a polyurethane and subsequently hydrolysing the siloxy groups in the polyurethane in a second step in the presence of an antimicrobial agent Z which has a siloxy moiety and condensing the hydrolized siloxy groups resulting in the formation of a silica network covalently linked to a polyurethane and to the rest of the antimicrobial agent Z and the use of this composition as antimicrobial coating especially for interior applications.Linvention porte sur une composition antimicrobienne. La composition est obtenue par réaction dau moins un polyisocyanate A avec au moins un composant liant B comportant au moins deux groupes réactifs avec des isocyanates et au moins un alcoxysilane réactif avec des isocyanates C, pour obtenir un polyuréthane puis par hydrolyse des groupes siloxy dans du polyuréthane en présence dun agent antimicrobien Z renfermant une fraction siloxy et par condensation des groupes siloxy hydrolysés pour obtenir la formation dun réseau de silice lié de façon covalente à un polyuréthane et au reste de lagent antimicrobien Z. Linvention porte également sur lutilisation de cette composition comme revêtement antimicrobien, en particulier pour des applications intérieures.
