The present invention relates to bifunctional compounds having utility as modulators of receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) proteins. In particular, the present invention relates to a bifunctional compound containing a ligand that binds to an E3 ubiquitin ligase on one end and a residue that binds to the target protein on the other end, the target protein being in proximity of the ubiquitin ligase. Position causes ubiquitination, resulting in degradation (and inhibition) of the target protein. The present invention shows a wide range of pharmacological activity associated with degradation / inhibition of target proteins.
