PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfection apparatus for rice seed, easily installable in a building and allowing for efficient work of the carry-in and carry-out of rice seed vessels or the like with a small number of workers by collecting the working areas by the workers at a single site.SOLUTION: The hot-water disinfection apparatus 1 for rice seed is composed of a hot-water tank 2 to immerse rice seeds in hot water, a cold water tank 3 to immerse the rice seeds in cold water after the immersion in hot water, a water-permeable rice seed vessel 4 to hold rice seeds, and an automatic transfer apparatus 5 to lift, lower and move the rice seed vessel 4. The hot-water tank 2 and the cold water tank 3 are arranged side by side on the transfer path of the rice seed vessel 4 transferred by the automatic transfer apparatus 5.
