PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for measuring pulse wave propagation velocity capable of measuring a pulse wave propagation velocity in a local measuring range.SOLUTION: The pulse wave propagation velocity measuring device includes a first sensor, a second sensor, a base body and a computing part. The first sensor detects the pulse wave propagating inside a tube. The second sensor is separate from the first sensor, and detects the pulse wave. The base body holds the first sensor and the second sensor, and defines the distance between the first sensor and the second sensor.
