PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hairdressing composition which can effectively bring out the property of imparting flexibility to the hair characteristic of a cationic surfactant and has good setting properties.SOLUTION: The hairdressing composition is of an emulsion type and comprises at least the cationic surfactant, an oil component, and water and the amount of the cationic surfactant incorporated is 0.5-6 mass%, and at least a higher alcohol, a branched fatty acid and a wax are incorporated as the oil components.
