PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature sterilized packaged food having a decorative pattern of edible material on the surface, causing no trouble such as crumbling of the decorative pattern in a packed state or crumbling of the pattern due to adhesion of the decorative pattern to a film during opening.SOLUTION: The high temperature sterilized packaged food includes a solid food, an edible decorative layer attached to the surface of the solid food, an edible protective layer, and a packaging film. The protective layer is laminated on the surface of the solid food though the decorative layer. The solid food having the protective layer is high temperature sterilized packaged with the packaging film. The protective layer is formed of an edible transparent film including agar as main component. The solid food includes cooked kelp and solid nutrition. At least a part of the solid nutrition is covered with the kelp. The decorative layer is attached to the surface of the kelp.
