PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melanogenesis inhibiting agent or a bleaching cosmetic which is new and useful and furthermore excellent in safety.SOLUTION: There is provided a melanogenesis inhibiting agent or a bleaching cosmetic including 0.01-200 mg/g (the denominator indicates the weight of the pharmaceutical preparation), preferably, 0.1-20 mg/g of a plant extract of one or more of a Zantedeschia aethiopica extract and a Eustoma grandiflorum extract.
