PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical support system and a method of providing its explanation for giving a commentary to a doctors explanation to a patient.SOLUTION: Explanation information in a voice data format to a patient is obtained, is analyzed, and is converted to a character data format. A dictionary for explanation for correlating terminology to its explanation sentence is stored in advance, each terminology included in the explanation information in a character data format is compared with the dictionary for explanation, and explanation information having a commentary is generated from the explanation information, and the explanation sentence corresponding to the terminology included in the explanation information.
